What is a domain name? |

A domain name is the address of a particular website. For example, our domain name is "www.digidogstudios.com".
To register a domain name,
you can contact a company such as Network Solutions or Go Daddy
. The most common domain names will end in .com, .net, or .org, but there
are many more to choose from.
We are also selling a few premium domain names not in use. Please check them out!.

Can you register my domain name for me? |
|
Yes, if you would like domain name registration as a part of your web design contract, we will be happy to do that for you.

What is web hosting and why do I need it? |
|
Web hosting is a place where your website will be accessible on the internet. It is a place for all your domain name, web page
files and graphics to reside. Most hosting companies offer monthly, quarterly, and yearly packages. Hosting fees vary greatly depending
on your needs. Your hosting package will need special features if you plan to have a storefront on your website,
if you will be connected to a database, or if you have special programming requirements.
We do not offer web hosting services
as we believe that every website has different hosting needs. But we can recommend various web hosts based on the type of website you need.

Do you provide website design services outside of Ohio? |
|
We create websites for clients who are local as well as out of state. We have clients that we have never met from places
outside of Ohio. Thanks to the internet, we have established systems and processes to communicate and collaborate effectively and
successfully on any type of project. All that is needed is an initial phone meeting to go over some details and then it is up to you
whether we use phone, email, chat or all of the aforementioned to communicate effectively throughout the design process. We will keep
you involved from start to finish, regardless of where you are located. We may only conduct personal meetings(if requested) to
clients residing in Columbus, Ohio.

What does the web designer need from me? |
|
| Text copy and photographs or other images you can
provide, in electronic format. Or send us photos and brochures through post mail - but this will take longer so an electronic format
such as your content in MS Word is preferred or photos in .jpeg or .gif files.

How long does it typically take to build a web site? |
|
When it comes to website development and design, there is potentially a lot of work to do, and a lot of different ways to do it.
The most important thing is for you and DigiDog Studios to share the same understanding of what is to be done. The time frame is
determined by the size of your website, the complexity of site design, and our current client design schedule.
The most common delay in the creation of a website is waiting for content such as text or images from the client or cases like clients
who changes mind frequently.
Not having your copy completed before the design process can significantly delay the production of
your website. To ease any unnecessary delays, we suggest that you have the majority of your copy ready before design begins.

How much does a web site cost? |
|

There are quite a few factors that are going to affect the ultimate cost of
your website. These factors include how many pages
you are going to have, if you will sell products on your website, the graphic work involved, and how interactive your future website
will be. In conclusion, we dont offer fixed pricing as certain projects involve more work.
A free no-obligation quote process is offered for your convenience. But however, it is impossible to be 100%
accurate considering the automation. The totalled charges will be based upon your requirements and is entirely dependent upon how much
work is required and after official consultation. Hence, the upfront pricing this system provides should not be taken as
fixed or non-negotiable, please do not hesitate to further pursue inquiring for a more accurate quote.

What's the difference between “static” and a “dynamic” website? |
|
A static website is one that is written in HTML only. It is not dynamic, meaning it remains the same and there is no database
that it draws on.
While information on a website or web page that changes often, usually daily or each time a user reloads or
returns to the page is a dynamic website. For example, web sites that offer current events or news.
Dynamic web sites usually cost more to develop, as they require more complex coding.

I already have a website, but I want a new design. Can you help? |

Absolutely! We will examine your current website, discuss your goals, and redesign your website according to your requests.

Can you use my existing logo, brochure design, and other
materials for my new web site? |

Yes. Please scan your brochures or any print promotional materials and send them to us in an electronic format or send them to us
and we will do the scanning, whichever you prefer.

Can I view my web site as it is in progress? |
|
Certainly. We can put your website in a directory on our web server so you can view the progress and approve of the the final
product before it goes live and launch it to your own web server

Can i request more changes after I appove the draft? |
|
You can make as many changes as you wish. However, design changes performed after the approved draft will be charged at an
hourly basis.

Why can't I find my web site in the search engines? |
|
Once your website has been submitted to the top search engines they may require
several weeks, or even months to actually spider and list your web site in their
directory. How fast your website is listed depends on each individual search
engines database update schedule. Learn more on search engines.
However, if you dont want to do the waiting, you can submit via paid listings and/or advertising oppurtunities.
